Jace and Daddy went to the UNI basketball game on Tuesday night.

Lexa has this odd obsession with beer. Ok, maybe it's not so odd....just weird for an 11-month old. This was her reaction when Daddy took the can away. Note: she has gotten to them before and spilled beer all over herself. It's somewhat nervewracking when you realize that your baby smells like booze.

Grandma and Grandpa's.

Mommy, Jace, and Lexa headed to Grandma and Grandpa's last weekend. Of course that meant a lot of eating and being spoiled (for Jace and Lexa of course). They both had their pictures taken (by an actual photographer..not just Mommy), got to play outside in the nice weather, and got to see their cousin Ashlan and Fabulous Aunts Kay and Debbie. Speaking of photography...Mommy apologizes in advance for the bad quality of these pictures. Believe it or not, she took a photography class at the community college last week. She is wondering if she messed up her camera settings somehow in the process. Try and enjoy them regardless.....

Is it just Mommy or is that diaper almost at big as Bean? Maybe that is why the t-shirt seemed so fitting.....



Jacer missed his Daddy while he was away and wasted no time hanging out last night.

Happy Valentine's Day

From Mommy's little sweethearts!

Here's the situation....

Many of you are aware of Jace's ongoing water woes. They began several years ago with the now infamous 'poop incident' and have continued through swimming pools, baths, and trips to the ocean. It is inevitable that each night bath time will be a struggle, complete with crying and frantically covering his face with a washcloth.
Soooo, this morning were swim lessons. Jacer actually did well from the beginning and got right in with no questions asked. Mommy and Lexa were chatting with people and having a nice time when suddenly Mommy looked over into the pool. Are you ready?

There is this little blonde in a cute pink suit DUMPING water on poor little Jace's head. Only wait...he wasn't upset. He WAS LAUGHING. Yes people. He was laughing. Mommy is so on to this child. Apparently a little blonde in a cute suit makes all his fears go away!

Potato Head! And no fighting!! Jace probably shouldn't have had that piece in his mouth in front of Lexa. It's amazing what you notice in a picture after the fact!



This is all that is right with the world. Lexa is wearing one of her old newborn dresses... as a shirt! Talk about cost effective!

Happy 11-Months Lexa!

1 month until Lexa's first birthday! Seems almost unimaginable. Sigh.

Lexa, at 11-months you:

*wear mostly 12 month clothes with plenty of 6 and 9 month mixed in. You also still wear a size 2 or 3 shoe...seriously you have the tiniest little feet!

*you love, love, love to eat. Mommy is not joking when she says it's like feeding a 10-year old boy. You frequently end up finishing your brother's meals after your own. Some of your favorite foods (although Mommy has yet to find one you refuse) are cheese, yogurt, carrots, and MEAT. Yes, you are not a salad eating gal...meat and potatoes is where it's at for you girlfriend!

*you nurse in the morning and have 2 bottles throughout the rest of the day.

*your night time sleeping has improved...somewhat. You will sleep like a champ for a week and then decide to get up again. You are such a dreamy napper however. Mommy was sick last week and had to put you down at 7 am....you just rolled over and went to sleep even though it was 7 am!!

*you are very loving right now. You love to give hugs and kisses.

*you are starting to fight with your brother a little bit. You aren't afraid to give him a good hard shove either!

*you are standing well but have not taken that first step yet. Mommy knows it will be any day.

*you love Ozzy! He is so tolerant of your hugs and tail pulls. Occasionally he will just get up and walk away when he sees you coming but for the most part Mommy thinks he secretly loves all of the attention even if it is a little rough.

*you are really into some of your toys right now. You have a baby doll that you hold and hug and pat. You can push a dump truck around with the best of them and you have a shape sorter that you are so proud of mastering.

*you have changed so much in the last month. You try and put on your own socks, you hold the remote and point it to the tv, and you hold the phone to your ear and jabber away. You are turning into a little girl...sniff, sniff.

One month and one day.....

....until Lexa's 1st birthday! Mommy can't even believe it. But more on that tomorrow.

Nothing says it's a nice relaxing, calm Sunday afternoon like lining up your plastic soldiers and shooting them down with a nerf gun....especially if you are a 10 month old baby girl.

The temperature on Saturday was a balmy 30 so Jace took advantage and did a little sledding.



Jace and Lexa's friend Carlie had her first birthday party over the weekend...

Miss Lexa turns 11 months tomorrow and Mommy has a sweet update for her so check back then!

Between sickness and snow there has been a whole lot of doing nothing going on around these parts in the last week. Mommy was beginning to feel guilty for the lack of posting however and decided to share the few pictures she actually took.

You know things are boring when your Mommy resorts to taking pictures of you watching tv!



Oh the Diva has arrived. She is already chatting on the phone daily.



Jacer was feeling better by Monday and even resumed his normal routine of playing, puzzles, and more playing.



Lexa loves her some food. Doesn't matter what...just so long as it goes in her tummy. 20 bonus points for the first person to notice her brand spankin' new front teeth. Never mind, Mommy just ruined it.

Things appear to be improving around here. The nausea is waning and the snow is...well not melting, but at least not falling. Just maybe there is some excitement to come this weekend. Stay tuned!
