Remember Peanette?

Peanette was the name Mommy used for Miss Lexa when she was still a bun in the oven. Lexa had her 18-month checkup on Friday and it was decided that the name must return. The girl is a peanut. She weighed in at a whopping 22.1 lbs and was 30.25 inches tall. Theses stats put her in the 16th and 11th percentiles respectively. Mommy must admit she was quite pleased that although vertically challenged, Bean did indeed stay on the growth charts!
Since Mommy has no pictures of the actual Dr. visit, she will tickle your fancy with some other recent photos. Have a look at these 2 crazies......

Running like the graceful young lady she is. And then she fell. Not really but it made the story better. Sorry Bean but sometimes a Mommy has to stretch the truth for entertainment value.

Getting dirty!

You may remember Jace's best best friend Morgan? Well she is now at a different preschool and they haven't seen eachother since June. He called her the other night. This picture is of Daddy calling before Jace got to talk. To say Jace was ecstatic would be an understatement.

Oh Bean.

Playing playdoh. And making a mess. Again.

Apparently Blogger does not wish to see any more pictures of Jacer and Lexa. It is refusing to upload. The nerve. Mommy will try to add the rest on a future date yet to be determined. Check back friends!

First School Picture

Ain't he just the sweetest thang you've ever seen........

Pardon the odd shadow across the side. Mommy had to take a picture of a picture in order to share this with you.

And pardon the fro Jace is sporting. Listen, it's tough keeping up with hair like that.

Yeehaw!

Jace and Lexa attended the rodeo last weekend. Lexa didn't attend the actual rodeo but she was there for the majority of the festivities including the parade....which is by far the most important as they have candy. Lots of candy.

Mommy and Fabulous Aunt Kay ran in the Stampede Run and once again brought home medals and ran personal bests. It's hard work being that good. There are no pictures to prove their running excellence because....well,nobody really wanted to venture out and take them apparently.

Check out the rest of the pictures.....

Miss Lexa with her makeup brush. Actually it's Mommy's makeup brush but she would never tell Lexa otherwise. The wrath of Lexa is not something to mess with.

Cowboy Jace geared up for the rodeo. And shooting webs. Does this surprise anyone at this point?

The cutest little cowgirl around.

Jace and Tate waiting for candy at the parade. There was definitely not enough candy at this parade. (If sarcasm was able to be placed in typed words it would have been in the previous sentence.)

Sibling Love. How sweet it is. Until somebody gets knocked off the lawn chair.

That really didn't happen but it is very likely it will at some point.

Until next time! TA TA!

Happy 18 Months Lexa!

Lexa turned 1 1/2 yesterday! She has the body of a 1 year old and the spirit of a 16 year old! She is quite the little lady and Mommy and Daddy couldn't be more proud of her.

Lexa, at 18 months you:

*wear a size 4 diaper and a size 5 shoe. Clothes are typically 12 or 18 months.

*are small. Mommy is unsure of your exact stats as you go to the doctor in a few weeks. Her best guess is somewhere around 21 lbs and 31 inches tall (the height may be a bit of a stretch).

*love your brother and Ozzy. Ozzy was your first word and since then you haven't stopped saying it over and over. And over.

*your favorite toys are dolls. You feed them, change their diaper, and just rock them. You have turned into such a mother hen. Except when you carry them around by their hair but you get a pass on that one since you are only 1.

*are a girly girl through and through. You want to wear dresses and sparkly shoes and would let Mommy paint your nails every day if she had the patience. The one exception is that hair. That hair Mommy would love nothing more than to get her hands on is off limits. It is a struggle to get 1 or 2 piggies in every day.

*talk a lot. You have tons of words and are just starting to combine them.

*have come out of your shell quite a bit lately. Occasionally it takes you a few minutes to warm up but then you tend to enjoy people watching you. You know just when to flash your scrunched up smile to get what you want.

*go to Tricia's during the day and love every minute of it. You talk about baby Lilly and Ben all the time.

*your favorite foods are fruits. You aren't into the sweets like your brother and Mommy which is such a shocker. You would eat raspberries all day if someone would let you. You also love to drink milk. Actually you will drink anything. And fast. Mommy often comments how much fun you will be in college.

*are a little snuggler. You have your share of temper tantrums (and you typically wait for a busy aisle in Target to show them) but you are also a sweet little thing. You will sit on Mommy or Daddy's lap and just let them hold you. You are one of a kind and are loved very much!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Bean!

Oh boy.

Mommy has no excuses for the lack of posting other than being really busy. Preschool has been an adjustment for Mr. Jace. He loves the school part but is iffy on the daycare. Mommy finally was able to get to the bottom of it somewhat and discovered he was nervous making new friends. He has since buddied up with a few friends and seems to be adjusting better. Miss Lexa is still Miss Lexa. Tiny, vibrant, and ornery. So that's it in a nutshell. Mommy and Lexa are heading to Grandma and Grandpa's this weekend while Daddy and Jace stay home and do some fishing and lounging. Enjoy the pictures!

Cousin Kelsey got married last weekend. Doesn't Lexa look thrilled? Jace too for that matter.

Jace and his buddy Tate blowing bubbles outside the church.

This would be how Jace wanted to wear his hair to the wedding. Actually he requested 2 piggies but Mommy would only let him have 1....because 1 is so much more appropriate for a boy....or something.

Lexa's first french braid courtesy of Tricia. That Tricia works miracles....she gets Lexa to hold still long enough to do fun things with her hair AND she gets her to take a nap!

And in conclusion....aren't they sweet???
