Happy Anniversary To Mommy's Best Guy....

Actually, Mommy has 2 best guys but this refers to her best guy over the age of 3!

Yesterday was Mommy and Daddy's 6th anniversary!! Holy Cow how time flies. No doubt it's a perfect match. Proof below......

Yup, doesn't get much more perfect than that!

A big thankyou to Grandma for making the drive to watch the hooligans while Mommy and Daddy had a quiet night out. Unfortunately Mommy and Daddy's tattoo night was a bust but may still happen in the near future. Stay tuned for pics as that will no doubt be an entertaining occasion!

Good Times and Fishing.

Actually Daddy was the only one to partake in the fishing the last few days. The whole crew headed down to Grandma and Grandpa's for some fishing fun but unfortunately it was too blasted hot! Even Ozzy was stuck in the air conditioning all day!

While Daddy was catching some fish for his fish fry, Mommy, Jace, and Lexa were having some fun of their own. See for yourself!

Lexa, sitting pretty

Jace posing with Ashlan...as her Mommy tries to make her tummy feel better.

Jace eating his ice cream cone...this was just before Mommy and Grandma spent like $50 trying to win him a stuffed animal from one of those stupid machines. Ok it was more like $3 but it was getting personal!

Jace got out his firetruck tent at Grandma and Grandpa's....and invited Lexa inside.

She thought she was hot stuff.

Poor Reggie. He always is subjected to this kind of thing when Lexa's bows are around. Just for the record...Grandma put this one in.

Lexa can't wait to have herself a maidrite someday soon at Grandma and Grandpa's restaurant. Like real soon. Girlfriend likes her food.

So lets just say a bigger car is in order. With Ozzy in tow everyone has to pack in like sardines. That means Ozzy gets the front seat while Mommy has to squeeze in back between the 2 carseats. Oh to be a 90 lb. dog..and be spoiled.

Ozzy on his throne in the front.

Lexa hanging in the back. One plus...she was entertained by Mommy the whole trip.

Mommy and Jacer taking a self-portrait of the cramped quarters...while watching Cars of course.

Once home from Grandma and Grandpa's there was only time to throw everything from the car, pick up a few pizzas, and head to the campgrounds. Fabulous Aunt Kay, Sam, and the rest of their party were on their RAGBRAI stop very nearby. What better excuse to let Jace run around with his cousins...and have s'mores!

Lexa got to swing at the park for the first time. She seemed to love it!

Jace played with Emma and Abby and was loving every minute of it.

Daddy and Jace at the park

Abby was such a little Mommy and even wiped Jace's face for him.

Whew! Possibly more pictures tomorrow as Aunt Erin has some from last weekend in KC!

So Little Time!

Mommy has been a bad blogger. She vehemently apologizes for this lack of posting in the last week or so. She and the kiddos (and Daddy now that he is on vacation) have been having too much fun to waste time blogging. Yeah right, everyone knows Mommy is an obsessive photographer and blogger.

Anyway, in the last few days there have been visits from Uncle Chuck, visits to see Nana, Uncle Keith and Aunt Darcy, Grandma Rosie, and Ali. There have been dairy tours, tons of drooling and chewing, lots of random pictures taken by Jace, and a very minimal amount of sleeping fit in as well.

Enough chatter. Pictures Please!

First, the dairy tour. Originally it was going to be a group of kids but in the end Jace and Gaige were the only ones to show. It ended up being nice because they got VIP treatment from the tour guide...and even got to see a 1 hour old baby cow!

Milking the cow....the 'w' word wasn't thrown around today, however both boys could not grasp the fact that it was supposed to be milk coming out. They were determined the cows were peeing. The poor tour lady tried and tried to tell them but it just wasn't sinking in.

Posing in front of the John Deere...Jace's latest fascination/obsession.

The best part....ice cream!

Sunday was spent at Uncle Keith and Aunt Darcy's house. Nana got Lexa her first Hello Kitty gear.

For those of you who haven't seen Lexa in the last few weeks...she is a huge Mama's girl right now. Nana was able to set a new record as Lexa sat and talked with her for over 15 minutes!!

This seems crazy but usually it is about 15 seconds before the lip comes out and the tears are a flowin'! Mommy must note that Nana's record was however later broken by Darcy who had Lexa on her lap for a fair amount of time. With Mommy out of the room for a minute.

Not only did Nana get to talk to Lexa, but she also held her while she slept.

And then Jace fell asleep on Mommy. Fell asleep would actually be putting it mildly. Conked out is more accurate. And then slept for over 2 hours! What a silly little man!

A few of Lexa chomping on whatever she can get her hands on. She literally puts anything and everything in her mouth. Even Ali's nose the other day!

(That would be spiderman she is munching on)

Jacer, thinking he is funny and trying to run from Mommy as usual

The last picture is an illustration of "Like Mother Like Son"...or something. Anyway, Jace took this. Not bad!

Not what you were looking for.......

Still no weekend pictures. And actually they probably aren't that great anyway. Mostly just a couple of Lexa being cute. Anyway, Erin's computer was a little under the weather earlier in the week but seems to be on the mend. She has promised to try and email them tonight.

Mommy decided to share a few randoms with you in the meantime.

It was IPTV day at the library today with Dan Wardell. Jace is a public television lover so he was happy to see the crazy guy who is always on there.

Jace and Dan Wardell. Jace thought he was a smidge crazy...which he kind of is.

After story hour Jace always, always has to go to the puppet area and say hi to Brother Bear (from the Bernstein Bears). Unfortunatly (or fortunately since it made getting out of there a lot easier) Brother was MIA today. Mommy assured Jace he was either at the Dr. or on a trip. Let's hope he's back next time or Mommy is in for a world of hurt.

Where is he???

And Jace forced Mommy to include this picture. It is Lightning McQueen. Yes, you see who is in charge here. Luckily, Mommy had enough control to not have to include the other 10 pictures taken (although they were from different angles...if you are interested let Mommy know).

On to Miss Lexa...still loving her cereal. She also has tried mashed avocado...which you will see in the weekend pics.

Oh,and she loves her hands too. She tries and tries but still can't get any milk out of those suckers.

Ok, more eating. This is about as exciting as it gets for Lexa.

And this is about as exciting as it gets for Mommy. Taking pictures of herself and her baby with food running down her (the baby's, not Mommy's..but of course you knew that) bib. Ah how times change.

And finally, little Miss really wants to MOVE! She is kind of trying to army crawl and either gets up on her arms or knees but just can't quite get them both going at the same time. Oh Lordy, that's fine with Mama....take your time Lexa Bean (as Jace calls her)!!

We're back....with no pictures.

Hint, hint Aunt Erin. Just a friendly reminder to email them to Mommy or you will have some blog readers hunting you down!

Mommy decided to leave the camera with Daddy while she and Lexa were gone so she wouldn't feel like she missed out on Jace's weekend. She figured Aunt Erin could lend her camera out to the task of photographing Miss Lexa. It worked well and Daddy did a good job of getting some great shots....with minimal editing from Mommy of course!

Jace outside at Grandma Rosie's. A picture only a Daddy would take.

Mommy, Lexa, and Grandma had a great time visiting Aunt Erin as well. In fact, the cops only came once. Seriously. But that is a story for another night when Mommy isn't super tired. Pictures to come tomorrow....right Aunt Erin???

Girls/Boys Weekend

This weekend the girls and boys are separating and doing their own things. Mommy and Lexa will be making the 5 hour trek (with Grandma) to see Aunt Erin.
Daddy and Jace are going to eat pizza, watch movies, go to Grandma Rosie's, and go frog catching. Mommy is sure Jacer is going to have a great time and actually is looking forward to a little break but she is going to miiiiissssss him!! She has been away from him for 2 nights in his 3 1/2 years so this will double it...in 1 weekend!!! Yeah, she knows it's good for sanity purposes.

Mommy thought she would share a few recent pictures before heading out....

Yesterday Lexa got together with 3 of her buddies for lunch. All of the babies were born this spring.

Carlie, Tycen, Evan (due the same day as Lexa but born 10 days later) and Lexa.

Lexa was by far the peanut of the group. Strange since she was in the 60th percentile for weight at 4 months. There was quite a bit of chub in that group!

The only siblings to join in on the fun. Jace and Gaige are becoming quite the buddies.

Mommy decided to brave dollar day at the museum with Jacer and Lexa by herself.

Jace kept saying, "This cow has weiners"!! The many, many people packing the place for dollar day were loving it.

Since Mommy was solo, Lexa was stuck in the carrier. She seemed to enjoy herself nonetheless.

One of Jace's favorite activities. The dollhouse. Goes well with his new princess moves.

Mommy and Lexa wasting time on a boring day.

But check out the hat turned the other way.

Jace feeding Lexa. She will take it (cereal that is) from anybody. She LOVES that stuff.

Stay tuned for pictures from the weekend!!
