Jace's Thanksgiving was a wonderful time spent at Grandma and Grandpa F.'s. He was lucky enough to hang out with many people including Aunt Erin and Tom just before their big day.
Jace spent Thursday helping Grandma cook. He made the corn, green beans, and jello and loved every minute of it!
After a long day of eating, Jace wound down with a game of Tribond with Grandma, Mommy, Erin, and Tom. Jacer was the official 'dice roller' and helped Mommy to an almost victory....if Tom Thomas hadn't messed it up!
Jace and Grandma also made plenty of time for reading....and laughing uncontrollably.
Friday was the lighted Christmas parade and gathering with Grandma's side of the family. Jace thought the lights were too cool and Tom Thomas was the best almost Uncle ever for holding him so he could see!
The weather was beautiful on Saturday and Jace hit the park with Mommy and Daddy.
Mommy and Daddy were honored to be Haley's Godparents on Saturday as she and Amiya were baptized.
Jace stayed home with Grandma and upon returning home, this is what Mommy found....
(yes, they are under a table!)
Mommy told them to pose and Jace put his arm around Grandma and cheesed it up!
And the best way to end a great weekend is by helping Grandma make cookies!!
And finally, as promised....Mommy at 6 months. Sigh.

100% Girl!
Mommy is finally convinced! The first thing the ultrasound tech said today was, "Oh, do you know what you are having?". Mommy replied with her rote, "Well, they say it's a girl". "Definitely", confirmed the tech! She even showed Mommy the 3 little white lines known as 'girl parts'. The tech said it typically isn't that easy to tell but little peanette obviously wanted to reassure her Momma! Bring on the pink! (Ok, Mommy hasn't really been holding off on the pink anyway, but now she can feel really confident with it!)The tech also told Mommy and Daddy that Peanette already weighs 1 lb, 5 oz! So there is a reason Mommy has been asked multiple times in the last couple days if she is sure there is only one in there. She has also received several comments stating that there is no way Mommy is making it to March. Gotta love random input from near strangers!
The tech only took a few pictures today since the point was to check out the placenta. Mommy and Daddy won't know for sure if it's moved up to where it belongs until Monday. The radiologist has to check out the images and compare with the first ultrasound to see if the placenta is making it's move.
The pictures the tech did take weren't put on a disc this time so Mommy resorted to taking pictures of pictures....since she still hasn't attempted to hook up the scanner. Anywho, Mommy also decided to try and label them in case anyone had trouble seeing baby girl. Mommy thought it was easy to see until she tried to show Jace. He said, "Oh look at the sun". Umm, no. Mommy tried to point out her lips and nose but he just couldn't tell. He kept turning the picture upside down and sideways. Finally, he re-confirmed, "It's a sun".
Peanette's face
Peanette's profile
And a few of Jacer since you will definitely be able to pick him out!

Jaceisms....take 55
Jace continues to crack Mommy up on a daily basis with his hilarious quotes. Everything is funnier through the mind of a 2-year-old! Read ahead to hear his latest and greatest. And see some pictures from Jace's weekend o'fun with Tom, Erin, and Fabulous Kay and Doug.
************************************************************************************
Jace and Daddy's new 'thing' is to listen to the 80's band Journey while they drive. Jace's favorite song is 'Don't Stop Believin' The other day as Jace played and Mommy watched, he stopped, looked up, and said, "Don't stop believin' Mom".
************************************************************************************
Jace was sitting on the potty trying to pee for several minutes. After sitting a while longer, he looked up at Mommy and said, "It should be coming".
***********************************************************************************
A few days ago, Jace went into the pantry, turned on the light and looked around. Then he sighed and said, "There's nothin' to eat!"
************************************************************************************
Jace and Mommy were discussing how big boys wear underwear and babies wear diapers. Mommy asked Jace if he understood and he nodded yes before stating, "Well, then I'm a baby".
************************************************************************************
Fabulous Aunt Kay bribing Jace with M&M's. It worked.
Ozzy LOVES Erin and was thrilled when she left Kona at home for the weekend so he got all the lovin'.
Jacer walking with Erin and Tay.
Always the funny man. Putting his Elmo Easter basket on as a bonnet. (He has also done this with the little potty seat and gotten it stuck. Trauma!)
Mommy's blood through and through.
Last week was 'Community Helper Week' at school and Jace's favorite part was making a police hat. What a cute policeman!
Jace and his hero Tom playing playdoh....soon to be Uncle Tom in LESS than 3 weeks! Mommy lost count of the number of times in 24 hours Jace said, "Hey, Tom".

Overdue.
Mommy’s greatest apologies to Jace’s regular readers. It isn’t even as though Mommy has been too busy to write. Actually, it may be just that. Jace hasn’t been up to much.
The end of the week did provide some photo ops however, as Jace experienced his first movie rental and a visit to Grandma Rosie’s house.
First, movie night. Mommy has kept a secret from Jace for a long time. Actually, two secrets. First, he had no idea that the t.v. in the living room was actually capable of playing his DVD’s. This was primarily selfish in that Mommy didn’t want to have Thomas and Curious George playing 24/7 in the living room. Also, she wanted to keep t.v. time separate from playtime. Typically Jace watches his movies upstairs either during nap rest time or right before bed as ‘wind down’ time. This worked well for 2 ½ years. The other secret was that one could actually borrow (rent) a movie for a few days and then return it (due to the inevitable argument over the returning part). Jace loved the idea of borrowing the movie. Mommy hasn’t had to tackle the discussion of returning it yet.
Anyway, Mommy and Daddy promised Jace that Friday would be movie night, complete with renting Madagascar 2, ordering pizza, and making popcorn. Jace even gave the entire family assigned seating for the event. He was excited all week and continually reminded Mommy that he got to watch the movie downstairs. Unfortunately, when Daddy went to rent the movie it was unavailable. Jace settled for ‘The Wild’, which was hard to handle at first but is quickly becoming a favorite. Daddy was even smooth enough to get the movie going while Mommy distracted Jacer. Hopefully the secret is still safe!
Saturday was spent watching the Hawkeyes and then crying. No more on that subject.
Sunday, Jace headed down to Grandma Rosie’s to spend some time with Nana and Papa and the rest of the family.
Even though Mommy knew there would be food at Grandma Rosie’s, Peanette (seems more appropriate than Peanut) is always hungry so Mommy decided to feed her. Even Jace, being the bird eater that he is, wouldn’t have lasted without any food. So, Mommy whipped up a quick snack. As you can see, Jace was not thrilled. His expressions were cracking Mommy up so of course she started snapping pictures!
He finally decided the teddy grahams were edible...probably because he noticed the chocolate chips. The apple doesn’t fall far.
And just to ensure his 2T pants would need a belt for another winter, he did a few laps around the house….with 2 of Mommy’s headbands on.
Seriously, the kid needs more boys at school. He is one of only 3 in his class and they are rarely there on the same days. Mommy consistently walks in to pick him up and finds him with a purse or doll snug in his arms. He is a ladies’ man though…..he knows how to win them over….become educated on their interests!
At Grandma Rosie’s there was a lime pile…..to apparently push Daddy off of
And many family members to show off for...
Jace and Ali
Checking out Uncle Keith’s scruff
Coloring with Nana. He kept saying, ‘Good job Nana’.
Speaking of telling people good job…..Jace cheered Mommy on this morning as she did her business on the potty. He told her ‘good job’ and ‘don’t forget to push it down’. ‘It’ being something Mommy (or Peanette) doesn’t have to worry about!

Halloween '09
Halloween started perfectly with lots of eating and watching the Hawkeyes. Of course since they NEVER LOSE anymore it was even sweeter! Ozzy had a little trouble however, since Daddy is....shall we say, fairly vocal with the t.v. Ozzy can't understand why Daddy yells so much and being the sensitive guy that he is (that's Ozzy we're talking about) gets very upset if he thinks anyone is not happy. Anyway, in the end, it was all good and Ozzy needed a nap.
Then, the moment was upon us. The moment when Jace would decide yay or nay on the costume. Well, it was a nay. And Mommy, being the Mommy that she is (the one that insists her child will participate basically so she can get pictures), simply told Jace that he WOULD wear his costume and he WOULD like it. He hated every minute of it...for the first 5 minutes but then was fine.
Jacer in just his fro...this was earlier in the day but after he agreed to try it on Mommy thought she better snap a picture....just in case.
Then came the actual costume....he is a disco man by the way...
And for a split second, the whole costume!
After Jace changed his attitude, it was off to the mall to fill his bucket with candy. Notice at this point he was determined to keep his coat on and not wear the fro. He NEVER wants to wear his coat.
Mommy and Daddy decided George looked a little out of place....you know naked and all...so he wore the fro. Mommy thought George pulled the look off rather well too.
And after all that trick-or-treating there is nothing like going out to eat....and finally agreeing to wear the entire ensemble.
And if you can believe this...as Jace left the mall, he insisted on taking his coat off. Yep, after trick-or-treating was over and nobody was left to see he actually did have a costume on, he didn't want to wear his coat. Ahhh, 2-year-olds...gotta love them.
