Snow Baby

Jace was at home with Mommy and Daddy again today due to the snow. Mommy really does still work..........sometimes. Actually she hasn't worked a full week since mid December.......but she's not complaining! Since Jace really is a snow baby (despite being born in Iowa in Jan. on a 48 degree day) Mommy and Jace decided to get some play time in outside. Of course Daddy decided to do his manly duties and shovel the driveway and Ozzy did his Ozzily duties and barked at the neighbors.
Jace had a great time and really got into it. He thought it was so cool to lick the snow off his hands--don't worry, we played on the side of the house where Ozzy does not relieve himself!

Loving the snow

DAAAAAA!!!!

For those of you who don't know--this is how Jace looks 99% of the time he is awake. That is- his mouth is open and sound is coming out. At this particular time he is yelling 'Da' which translated means 'dad'. Daddy was shoveling the back steps and Jace could no longer see him and decided to yell at him. Daddy indicated that he did indeed hear the little man!

Just a couple other random pics from recent days.................

Hmmmm, what is my next move going to be?

Mommy finally decided to turn Jacer around in his car seat. She was given the go-ahead at his 12-month check but was a little nervous after doing some reading. Apparently many parents these days are choosing to keep their kids backward facing much past a year. Mommy held out for a month but then decided to go ahead and let Jace see what the world had to offer going forward. As you can see his reaction was somewhat of a 'what's the big deal?'

Daddy had the infant car seat in his car still until last week so he had the luxury of keeping Jace in it if he fell asleep on the way home from daycare. Speaking of sleeping--we are putting a request in now for tubes for any future Jace siblings. He has started eating like a horse and has gained all of his weight back--and then some. He has also started napping SO much better. We're talking OVER 60 minutes on many occasions. Love those tubes!

I can't believe they kept you in that small carseat so long...isn't awesome to face forward!
