A lotta Jace.

This post is basically a lotta Jace. He had his first day home sick from school this week and by mid afternoon he was feeling better and was BORED. Mommy thoroughly enjoyed the quiet time with just Jacer however, as he NEEDED to order pizza and watch Home Alone for the first time. Mommy felt it was her parently (pretty sure that's not a real word but it sounds good) duty to oblige and eat pizza and watch movies with him.

Ozzy fell down and wasn't feeling so hot. Jace drew him a picture and set it right beside him so he would feel better.  That Jace is a keeper.

This was after he was really feeling better. He is the Grinch....in case that wasn't clear. That Jace is a keeper.

And then Lexa......she put on not 1 but 2 tutus and then came to find Mommy. She said, 'and now I will do a beautiful dance for you'. This would be the beautiful dance.

They can really be sweet when they want to be.

Jace was feeling better yesterday and headed back to school. But not before he TIED HIS SHOES ALL BY HIMSELF in the morning. He was slightly excited.

Lexa is always digging through Mommy's bathroom goods putting on makeup and doing her hair. But Jace typically doesn't get the same enjoyment out of it. Until he found the hair. He really would be a cute girl.
That's all the news for now. Updates forthcoming as the Santa Snow Shuffle 5k is this weekend. So you KNOW there will be fun pictures to view!

Lexa and Jace waited over an hour.....

...for this view.
Ha Ha. Mommy cracks herself up. So, Jace and Lexa spent Thursday night on Main Street visiting Santa and riding a horse trolley. A good time was had by all. Even the horses seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Outside of Santa's workshop was decorated completely in lights. There was a light show coordinated to music that was super cool. Lexa took a moment to shake her booty.

Jace whipped out a few moves himself.

The Grinch was there! Lexa wasn't entirely sure but did venture close enough for this shot.

Jace and Santa. He asked a lot of questions after this one. Because he had JUST seen Santa in the North Pole last weekend. So it didn't make sense to Jace why Santa would be all the way here. When Mommy tried to explain that Santa had a workshop here, Jace was like, 'yeah right'. Maybe Lexa won't be the one to let Jace in on the 'secret'.

After talking to Santa there was a slide to get out of his workshop. Nice!

Mommy so wanted to get a good picture on the trolley ride. Yep, this is it. The best one. The horses, their arses, the lights....they were all too much for Lexa apparently.

This. Is. Awesome.

This totally has nothing to do with Jace and Lexa but you gotta hear it. Mommy has the church giggles.

Thanksgiving 2012

Before Mommy delves into the Thanksgiving fun, she must tell you that Ozzy is doing great this morning! He will hopefully be coming home today! Also, thanks for all the calls and texts to check on him! They are appreciated! Now, on to the holiday.....
Thanksgiving 2012 was spent at Grandma and Grandpa's house followed by Sunday at Nana and Papa's. Lots 'o pictures to follow......
Lexa and Logan. She is such a little Mommy. Her Mommy probably needs to teach her to actually hold on to the baby when holding him though....

Watching the lighted Christmas Parade with cousins. It was a bit chilly if you can't tell from the bundled wee ones.

Saturday brought a trip to the North Pole on the Polar Express Train. This is a picture of all the kids...minus Lexa.  She was in 'I'm a raging lunatic 2-year old and I will NEVER stand for a picture just because you want me to' mode at this point.

Inside the train. Oooh the excitement builds!

Outside Santa's caboose. Lexa had told Santa that she wanted a baby. When she was walking away she looked at Mommy and said, 'So where's my baby?' Really, it is good logic. She has been told that Santa will give her presents. And she told him what she wanted. Why would she have to wait until Christmas. It would be so much simpler to get the gift on the spot. Think how much time would be saved on Christmas Eve for Santa!

Lexa and her crazy cousin Ashlan. Lexa did smile at one point. Just not this one.

Jace telling Santa his list. It was pretty much what Mommy expected. Except he has decided he wants a skateboard. Oh boy. Has anyone seen him ride a bike?

Crazy Aunt Kay. She does have moves though.

Jacer and Ashlan. She won him over by giving him Spiderman stickers she got at the doctor. He thinks she is pretty awesome.

Apparently Mommy failed at taking pictures at Nana and Papa's. This lone picture is Jacer and Lexa playing the Sock 'Em Robot game that Papa bought. They loved beating eachother up. Speaking of, Mommy will soon post a picture of the wound Lexa gave Jace last night. It was actually a wound too. With blood and all. Sigh.

This speaks for itself.

Ozzy.

Ozzy had surgery today. It wasn't planned and actually turned into somewhat of an emergency. He hadn't eaten or drank since yesterday and appeared very bloated. He was dry heaving and was passing TONS of gas. So a quick trip to the vet this morning led to xrays which led to immediate surgery after the vet could see the amount of gas in his belly. The surgery went well and luckily none of his organs had twisted due to the large volume of gas in them. The vet sutured his stomach to his abdominal wall to prevent future twisting and sewed him back up. The surgery also revealed some arthritis and discoloring of his liver (sigh) but this will all be secondary to getting him through his recovery. Mommy was able to spend some time with him and pet him this afternoon while he was waking up and Jace and Daddy did the same this evening. So far so good!

Get Well Soon Bubba!

Yesterday.

The pictures below depict Jace and Lexa's yesterday......
She watches Mommy put her glasses on first thing every morning so she has decided that's what she must do as well. She literally wore these for like an hour before the fact that they popped off her head every 5 seconds annoyed her enough to give up.

This is what you call a lil' Thanksgiving miracle folks. Both of them quietly laying down and watching tv. And this went on for at least 5 minutes. It was a glorious 5 minutes. Next time Mommy won't waste 1 of the minutes snapping a picture either.

Then came the tree decorating. And the princess dressing up. Did you know what she is going to be when she grows up? A dress up person. Mommy said, like an actress? Nope, just a dress up person.

Then there was this. The most disturbing part of the whole deal was that the 3T coat fit Jace surprisingly well. Eat a sandwich kid!

And last but not least.....note the level of water. So, Mommy starts running bathwater for the kids and leaves the room to do a few things. 5 or so minutes later she decides to go shut off the water. EXCEPT Lexa had shut and locked the door. And left. So Mommy mildly freaks out and is frantically using a screwdriver to take the doorknob off. Lexa is screaming because she thinks Mommy is breaking the door. Jace is screaming because the house is gonna flood. Mommy is just screaming in general. Finally she gets the knob off and opens the door to find Ozzy laying calmly next to the tub. So, there were 2 rescues in that mission: the floor and the dog!
That's all! Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving!
