A couple randoms.

First, ignore Mommy standing front and center looking goofy. This is the group that Mommy is doing the new model of identifying kids for speech services with. They submitted a proposal to win an award for innovation in the profession through the state Speech and Hearing Association....and won the award! Cool right?!

And this would be Jace's family art project for school. The assignment was to use as many items from around the house to decorate this turkey. Some example items were cloth, buttons, sequins, etc. Soooo, did domestic Mommy have ANY of these items? Umm, no. So, Jace's family project consisted of cereal, noodles, chocolate chips, and cookie sprinkles (you know kitchen staples). Lexa really enjoyed this activity as evidenced by her green hands and mouth. If only you could have seen Mommy's mouth you would realize how much the apple truly doesn't fall far from the tree.....
So there you have it. A couple of randoms.

And his Mama taught him everything he knows. Except that.

Date night and Omaha.

Mommy and Jace had date night last week and went to Shrek the Musical. Jace thought it was a-ok that he was going to be Mommy's date for the play....but he said, "lets just not say that again though". Sigh. And so it begins.

The weekend brought a trip to Omaha to catch up with Tom, Erin, and Keegan. A major goal of Mommy's was to get a stellar shot of the 3 cousins. You will see the results below......

Ok, this picture does not apply to anything Mommy just talked about. But Lexa is beginning to be slightly more willing to let Mommy dress her. Emphasis on 'slightly'. But doesn't she look smashing when Mommy can actually put matching pieces on her?

This would be Jace at Shrek. The seats left something to be desired but the play was awesome! Jace took a little cat nap in the middle but after a tough day at kindergarten a guy needs his rest when he can get it.

Omaha. Eating. This is pretty much what Keegan does. And he does it well.

See.

Ok, so Mommy really wanted that great picture of all 3 kids. Note: 2 are missing in this first attempt.

Getting closer.....and this one just makes Mommy smile.

At least all 3 are actually in the frame. And Mommy's little dream boat Jace, always trying to help.

Ok, so this is where Mommy got sidetracked. Because COOL!

Seriously they are like hairy humans. With long arms.

And last but not least, Jacer feeling out some ocean goodies. The most interesting being a shark egg. Did you know that the egg attaches itself to some plant or other stable item in the ocean and then hatches there...with no parents! Mommy was amazed. That information almost topped the orangutans. Almost.

Gues Who is Famous?!?!

Daddy and Jace!

They were in the local picture after their picture was taken waiting in line to vote last night.

(Mommy put the arrow in to help you find them quickly.)

Your welcome.

What's new.

What's new you ask? Not much. Mommy, Jace, and Lexa made their own mini pizzas Saturday night. And Mommy took 3 pictures. So, that gives you an idea of how exciting things have been.
Saucy!

Cheesy!

Nice Lexa. And Mommy is now realizing just how many black olives were actually on her pizza.....Yuck.

And just so you don't think pizzas are the most exciting thing happening.....Captain America stopped by.

So did his little sister. She was grumpy.

And finally.....reason #1 why it's good to have a big brother: To teach you how to make your armpit fart!
Mommy is pretty sure you can't handle any more of this excitement. Check back soon!

The Actual Halloween Pictures.

Check out how Halloween Night went.
No she did not go as Jane Fonda. She refused to put on her dress. Imagine that. The best part is that her arms are crossed.

Ok, so after Mommy said kids could ABSOLUTELY get NO candy without a dress....she put it on! Mommy really wanted to get a good picture of the kids and Ozzy. Ozzy wouldn't scoot back....which is why he looks like a 200 lb. BEAST.

Great poser. Willing and eager.

And, not so much. Mommy can't recall verbatim what she was saying at this point....but you can probably fill in fairly accurately.

Getting ready to trick or treat at the mall.

Lexa and Lilly after they filled their buckets. This would also be after Lexa realized you actually didn't have to wear your entire costume to still get the treats...hence, bye bye antenna. Sigh.

And thus ends Jace and Lexa's Halloween fun for 2012. Mommy must add that she was thoroughly impressed with the number of mini chocolate bars she they received. It had to have been a record setting year! Cheers!
