Happy Birthday Lexa!

Lexa Bean is 2 today! She has had a great day so far and Mommy is on the ball and sharing some birthday morning pictures. ALREADY. Your welcome.

Jace just couldn't wait to give her his present so he gave it to her right away. The suspense was  minimal as he had already told her about 5 times that he got her pink legos.

The best way to start your birthday is with a cinnamon roll.

At 2 you haven't had much experience with birthday candles yet. It's only natural that you would try and bite them first.

Lexa, at 2 years old you:

*weight approximately 24-25 lbs and are 32-33 inches tall? Dr. appointment coming soon.....

*wear a size 18 or 24 month clothes, size 6 shoes, and a size 4 diaper. Still petite, but growing.

*are a girly girl through and through. You love babies, clothes, and having your nails painted.

*are a talker. You actually never stop. Ever. Some of your latest and greatest are 'only boys have weiners' and 'I have power' (that would be from He-Man).

*can count to 13 and can spell your name. You have a jumbled version of the ABC's but most of the letters are in there somewhere.

*love to color! This is probably your favorite thing to do. You also love to do play-doh, read books, and play with your babies.

*love milk! You would drink milk and eat or drink nothing else all day if you were allowed. Other favorites are chicken nuggets, fruit, and meat (technically chicken nuggets are meat but you like yours from McDonalds so they may or may not fall into the meat category).

*love to snuggle. Although you are very independent and active, you love to sit and cuddle and play with Mommy or Daddy's collar. Strange but comforting to you apparently.

*think Jace is the coolest thing ever. Which actually he is. You imitate him constantly and look up to him so much!

*are such a funny, sweet, amazing girl. You have a way of getting attention and are going to be something very big some day!

We are alive!!

Mommy is aware that she has been failing miserably at keeping this blog updated. She is here to redeem herself today with a few pictures from recent days.

Jace has a new obsession. He-Man. This is his portrait of He-Man. The kid's got talent.

Jace's school had a Chuck E. Cheese fundraiser the other night. Jace rocked the basketball game. His Mama taught him everything he knows.

Lexa was thrilled to ride next to Chuck E.

Potty training has been unsuccessful thus far. She does however, enjoy wearing her Dora undies. Over her clothes. See why there has been no progress.

Happy Valentine's Day from Jace and Lexa!

Does anyone know how long it takes to fill out 22 valentines when you are learning to write? A LONG time! But they sure are purty!

A little update.

Just a little update to allow you to see some of the cuteness Mommy has the pleasure of seeing everyday.

Awww. They really do love eachother. At least 10% of the time.  Mommy typically doesn't think to capture a picture when they are swinging at one another.

First (and only) snowman of the year. Lexa took pleasure in eating him while Jace was upset. It didn't end up making a difference either way as he melted within a couple days.

Ready to hit her 1st Super Bowl Party....rockin' 2 ponies!

Mommy has to share what is likely going to be something she teases Jace about for many years. She received her first email from Jace's teacher last week. Jace is very much a rule follower and rarely gets in trouble so when Mommy began reading she didn't think much of it. Until she realized that Jace was indeed in trouble. Apparently he is excessively playing superheroes at school. It is beginning to interfere with his learning. During center time the stuffed animals fight eachother and turn into venom and the green goblin. Ok, so Mommy did have a talking with Jace...primarily because he wasn't listening when the teacher told him to stop. After their talk however, Mommy had a good laugh. Only Jace would get a naughty email for 'excessive superhero play'!!
And just so you know, he has improved after his talkin' to and is now using the centers as they were intended to be used.
