Last Post of 2012!

Mommy thought she better get the Christmas pictures up yet this year. Because what kind of slacker waits until the next year to post them. And please note that Mommy is doing this at 11:00 pm on New Year's Eve. Not because she is that dedicated but because she is just not the party animal she used to be. So it's either blog or bed. And the stubbornness in her WILL hold her eyelids in an open position until 12:01. SO, with that (very extended and even more unnecessary) introduction....here are the Christmas pictures!
Sibling love!

Mommy should probably point out that these loving pictures were taken at the beginning of Christmas break. And prior to all the togetherness that was experienced due to this break (which Mommy might add was extended by 2 days due to snow....not that she is counting). They are pretty much over eachother at this point. And in all honesty, Mommy is over it too. Because really, 2 snow days DIRECTLY prior to Christmas break are a horrible idea. Mommy was geared up for a certain number of days of togetherness. This exceeded her quota, put her on kid overload, and required wine.

The first Christmas was last weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's with Tom, Erin, and Keegan. Lexa received a new baby doll! She is very life-like and actually nearly as big as Lexa. That blonde doll on Lexa's right is Keegan's. He got a boy cabbage patch. Ahem. Let's just say it didn't come from his daddy.

Spiderman Gloves! If anyone wondered if there was ANYTHING Spiderman that this kid did not already own....there is your answer. He was able to go another entire Christmas with the majority of his gifts being Spiderman.

Lexa jumping on the bed while poor baby Allison just has to lay there.  At least she only stepped on her once. Or twice.

Christmas with the Auge side. Very entertaining. Next time you see Jace, ask him what the lumpiest part of a person is. Or ask Grandma to name something women commonly wax.

Christmas Eve with Daddy's side. Jace obviously understands the meaning of a giant pile of presents with his name on it. He hides it well too.....

Lexa opening her Peppa Pig treehouse. Now that Mommy has actually seen the show...she still doesn't understand the obsession. Except that the British accents are fun. And she loves the one where they ride bikes with their stabilizers. Mommy spent a large portion of yesterday perfecting her ability to say stabilizers with a British accent. Lexa wasn't amused.

Jace received a wave board from Nana and Papa. If you aren't sure what this is....check out Nana's face.  It is something that may or may not be safe. Even on carpet. With a helmet. Holding your Nana's hand. Stay tuned for the ER pictures coming soon.....

Wait! There WAS more love! This was on Christmas morning. Because who doesn't love their sister or brother after opening a pile of presents from Santa.

And really, who doesn't love a pair of Hello Kitty socks in their stocking.

The only semi-decent picture of Jace, Lexa, and Keegan. Why are they on the table? Because that's how Keegan rolls.

He thought it was funny at the time. Someday he is really gonna regret this one......

Hiatus.

Apparently Mommy has been on a blogging hiatus. Mommy says apparently because it was not planned. It just happened. Her apologies. She will share some fun Christmas pictures soon, but for now enjoy this video of Mr. Jace singing a song he learned in Spanish. Mommy has her doubts as to whether he has any idea what he is singing but it is still cute.

Winter Fun!

Quite a bit of winter fun has been happening around Jace and Lexa's parts. A little food, a little (or lot) snow, and a little play time!

Cake Pops. Check out the black stained tongues...that can't be healthy.
If Mommy isn't careful, people are going to start expecting fun, crafty things from her.

Lexa got new boots! Hello Kitty boots. Can't top that.

And you can see why the boots were bought just in time.....Mommy, Jace, and Lexa had a snow day today! A portion of the day was spent playing in the snow. It ended up being a much longer stint than Mommy originally expected as 2 minutes in Jace said his body 'hurt ALL OVER'. Mommy adjusted his coat so the snow could no longer run down his chest and that seemed to cure the problem......

Snow Angels. There is another picture of him with his head buried in the snow. Literally.  Mommy didn't upload it though because that's just WEIRD.

It was amazing there was any snow left to snowblow after Lexa got done. She never stopped shoveling in her mouth.

Ending the afternoon with a nice cup of hot chocolate.
And that's the end. Here's to clear roads by tomorrow!

A little of this and a little of that.

If this is the look she gives Mommy at 2,  bet you just can't wait to see what she does at 16.....

So Mommy saw the cutest cookies online the other day. And she thought to herself, 'lets give this domestic goddess thing one more try'. So she did. And actually it was semi-successful.

See.
Now Lexa (whose cookie is on the far left) may be following in Mommy's footsteps with her artistic abilities, but Jace (far right) seems to have potential.

This is a random shot of Lexa playing. But Mommy was impressed with the diversity she used in her  fun. 2 snowmen, a barbie, and a smurf. Quit an eclectic group.

Friday Santa visited Tricia's house! Jace didn't have school and was able to join in on the fun.

Telling Santa what they are expecting under the tree. A skateboard for Jace and a drum for Lexa. Really?

Cheese!

Santa passed out themed blankets for everyone with their names on them. Lexa and Lilly thought they were hilarious as usual and wore them around their necks. Ah BFFs.
And that would be a little of this and a little of that.

Christmas Fun!

A fun-filled weekend full of Christmas cheer was on the agenda for Jace and Lexa last weekend. Gobs of family visited and joined in. Details below!
Mommy, Fabulous Aunt Kay, and Tracy ran in the Santa's Snow Shuffle 5k on Saturday morning. Check out them fancy outfits. Many a Hershy's Kiss was eaten while attaching the red swag Friday night. No official times were recorded but a nice, relaxing time was had.

Immediately following the run was Jace's last basketball game. A special thanks to everyone who came to watch...Debbie, Mark, Ryan, Kay, Tracy, Sean, Ashlan, Hayden, and Grandma! Jace had his own cheering section...AND scored 4 points! Seeing as the team scored about 10 total, that's not too shabby. Maybe it was those freaky glowing eyes that scared all the kids away....or maybe it was Mommy's photography skills.

Sunday was Jace's kindergarten program. But you probably already knew that because Mommy bragged about it yesterday with her video. Mommy has about 900 pictures from the 20 minute deal and they all look pretty similar to this one. So, just look at this one and consider yourself lucky that Mommy didn't post the other 899.
And thank you to Papa, Nana, and Grandma Rosie for making the trip to watch Jace in his all his singing and speaking glory!

Speaker #3 (as he was referred to in the program).

Lexa needed a little camera time too. And actually looking back she did get a little jipped in this post. Just so you know, Lexa was in attendance for all the above activities but apparently didn't produce photo worthy actions. Her favorite part of the weekend was swimming and playing with Ashlan.
THE END.

Jace's Christmas Program 2012

Mommy isn't going to share all the pictures from this weekend at this time because...well because she is tired. She couldn't wait to share Jace's speaking part however, as he was AWESOME! He spoke loudly, clearly and right into the microphone. So, here you go....Jacer (minus the 1st line because his Mommy failed at working her camera for a couple seconds)!!

P.S. The lone clapper would be one of Jace's Grandmas. Which then brought claps from the rest of his fan club. Which then brought a few other random claps....which was funny because nobody knew why they were clapping but just did because someone else was. That Grandma...she's a trend setter.

A lotta Jace.

This post is basically a lotta Jace. He had his first day home sick from school this week and by mid afternoon he was feeling better and was BORED. Mommy thoroughly enjoyed the quiet time with just Jacer however, as he NEEDED to order pizza and watch Home Alone for the first time. Mommy felt it was her parently (pretty sure that's not a real word but it sounds good) duty to oblige and eat pizza and watch movies with him.

Ozzy fell down and wasn't feeling so hot. Jace drew him a picture and set it right beside him so he would feel better.  That Jace is a keeper.

This was after he was really feeling better. He is the Grinch....in case that wasn't clear. That Jace is a keeper.

And then Lexa......she put on not 1 but 2 tutus and then came to find Mommy. She said, 'and now I will do a beautiful dance for you'. This would be the beautiful dance.

They can really be sweet when they want to be.

Jace was feeling better yesterday and headed back to school. But not before he TIED HIS SHOES ALL BY HIMSELF in the morning. He was slightly excited.

Lexa is always digging through Mommy's bathroom goods putting on makeup and doing her hair. But Jace typically doesn't get the same enjoyment out of it. Until he found the hair. He really would be a cute girl.
That's all the news for now. Updates forthcoming as the Santa Snow Shuffle 5k is this weekend. So you KNOW there will be fun pictures to view!

Lexa and Jace waited over an hour.....

...for this view.
Ha Ha. Mommy cracks herself up. So, Jace and Lexa spent Thursday night on Main Street visiting Santa and riding a horse trolley. A good time was had by all. Even the horses seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Outside of Santa's workshop was decorated completely in lights. There was a light show coordinated to music that was super cool. Lexa took a moment to shake her booty.

Jace whipped out a few moves himself.

The Grinch was there! Lexa wasn't entirely sure but did venture close enough for this shot.

Jace and Santa. He asked a lot of questions after this one. Because he had JUST seen Santa in the North Pole last weekend. So it didn't make sense to Jace why Santa would be all the way here. When Mommy tried to explain that Santa had a workshop here, Jace was like, 'yeah right'. Maybe Lexa won't be the one to let Jace in on the 'secret'.

After talking to Santa there was a slide to get out of his workshop. Nice!

Mommy so wanted to get a good picture on the trolley ride. Yep, this is it. The best one. The horses, their arses, the lights....they were all too much for Lexa apparently.
