Jace's greatest dream happened.
He met Thomas.
Actually he rode on Thomas. If you ask him to be really technical he will say it was Claribel (one of Thomas' freight cars..for those who aren't overstimulated by Thomas the Train every day). In any case, he loved it and it was definitely worth the 2 hour drive. Entering the festivities was like walking into Jace's heaven.
There were tents full of Thomas sets to play with
There were jumping houses and Thomas tattoos
There was even a petting zoo and funnel cakes (ok, maybe that last one was Mommy's heaven).
The grand finale included a 1/2 hour ride on none other than Thomas the Train. Jace also scored a new t-shirt because everyone knows you can never have too much Thomas memorabilia.
Jace tried his hardest to hold a nice, cute pose in front of his hero. It was hard however, to keep from turning around in awe. Mommy was actually just thrilled that he sat alone without in his thumb stuck in his mouth....regardless of if one could actually see Jace's face.
There is nothing like ending a perfect day with a BUFFET! Oops, Mommy keeps slipping her own guilty pleasures in there. Anyway, Jace met up with his buddy Mikey D, his Mommy, and their friend Mia to eat pizza and play a few games.
Jacer and Mikey went a little wild with the skiballs but luckily everyone made it out injury free!
And thus ends Jace's perfect day.

A few recent Jacisms
At the store with Daddy:
Jace: I want Mommy.
Daddy: Do you want Mommy or do you need Mommy?
Jace: I need Mommy. I love Mommy.
Awww.
Jace and Mommy driving in the car.
Jace: Hey, Mom see my toe. It's soooo pretty.
No comment for that one.
Jace and Mommy playing with his trains.
Jace: Mommy, say thankyou.
Mommy; Thankyou Jace.
Jace: Your welcome.
Anytime Jace does something he knows he shouldn't.
Jace: Was that funny?

'Ketchup'
Mommy is playing 'ketchup' today as she posts pics from the last week. Aunt Erin can be such a hound.
Anyway, last Monday was Grandma Rosie's birthday so the whole family met up to celebrate. Jace enjoyed running (and not eating) around the table while Mommy enjoyed partaking in the finishing of the birthday girl's dessert. Mommy helps out when she can.
The whole group
Next, in true roadie fashion, Jace and Mommy headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's AGAIN (this is 3 weeks in a row). One of Mommy's bestest friends had her wedding reception Saturday night which could not be missed. It was a great time....especially for Jace who may have not even known Mommy, Grandma, and Grandpa were there for most of the night. He befriended 2 other young partygoers and played bags for quite some time.
Ok, maybe this boy befriended Jace but it made Jace's day. He kept laughing at the boy and slapping his knees. What a card.
Of course Julie's 2 dogs were there so Jace had to give them plenty of loving. The kid and his animals.
A picture with the bride. Jace hadn't seen her in nearly 18 months. He loved her 18 months ago and it was no different last weekend. He has a thing for blondes....
After a night of partying there is nothing like hitting up the pumpkin patch with family!
Of course when it is Jace's family it always involves food as well!
Posing for a wagon (or as Jace called it, a freight car) picture with his cousins and buddy Cale. Cale's Mommy played with Jace's Mommy in the neighborhood when they were not much older than this!
Silly man in the play area
And finally, an attempted picture of Mommy and Jace on the hayride.
Requests for more belly pictures have been noted and are being seriously considered. Mommy got her first, 'oh wow, look at your belly' today. And so it begins.
Just wait another month people, just wait. Then you'll really be saying 'oh wow'!!

Ahhh, the memories........
Thanks to Fabulous Aunt Debbie for allowing us all to reminisce about the infamous 'poop incident'. To view the video click HERE. To go back in time and remember Mommy's retelling of the ordeal click HERE.

Sorry, no pictures.
Mommy just wanted to call your attention to the newest poll posted on Jace's Place. This one seeks to get your opinion as to whether baby peanut's ultrasound will reveal 2 legs (=girl) or 3 legs (=boy). Mull it over and vote.....Mommy's ultrasound will be sometime in October and voting will end then!

He's a lightweight.
If Jace's reaction to parade candy is any indication, he is in real trouble if he ever decides to take up drinking. The kid had maybe 2 or 3 tootsie rolls and looked higher than a kite. Ok, maybe it was 4 or 5 tootsie rolls and a few suckers (thanks to Fabulous Aunt Kay) but the amount of sugar did not equal the amount of energy Jace forced himself to expend during the parade. He did love it though...although he couldn't quite grasp the concept of saving some of the candy. The apple doesn't fall far.....
This is a classic Jacer look. With sucker in hand of course.
Horses!!
Jace's idol, Emma. If Emma stands, Jace stands. If Emma sneezes, Jace sneezes. If Emma..ok, you get the idea.
This is all the further Mommy got with the boots. You can see by Jace's face how thrilled he was getting this far. Mommy bribed him with a cookie and he reluctantly put them on. He ate the cookie (with a scowl as shown below) whining about the boots and promptly took them off when he finished. He's got it all figured out. Notice Mommy wasn't quick enough to get a picture with his actual cowboy shirt either. He agreed to wear it but then took it off too before actually entering the rodeo.
Jace really did love the rodeo but fell asleep for much of the middle. For being a skinny little thing, he is dead weight when he is sleeping. This picture captured the 2.5 seconds he allowed anyone other than Mommy to hold the sleeping prince.
Jace's rodeo weekend was a success! He was able to attend with Grandma, Mommy, Daddy, AND Nana and Papa. What a lucky boy! His favorite part was the horses of course although during the grand entry (with exactly 703 horses riding in the arena) Jace points out 2 lone birds in the sky. Not sure if that is observant or not??

Erin's Bachelorette Bridal Shower Weekend
Jacer and Mommy made the trek to Grandma and Grandpa's last weekend to attend several events, one of which being Aunt Erin's bridal shower. As the title may indicate, it turned into a little more of a drunken bachelorette party (not for Mommy of course) but what do you expect when the shower is held at a winery. Ahh, the memories and inside jokes (i.e. Did I just hit a car?). For those of you wishing to hear more, just contact anyone from the Auge family.
Sweet little Erin from back in the day.....
Moving on....
Friday night, Jace was able to hit up Preston and Ashten's b-day party. Of course, it had already started before Mommy and Jace made it to town so the pictures are lacking. (That means there are none.) It was fun however, and always nice to see buddies that live far away.
Saturday began with Mommy's first walk in 12 weeks!! She was elated! It had been a long 12 weeks of looking wistfully at those running shoes. Of course there is nothing like balancing out a walk with a healthy dose of fried food at Gma and Gpa's restaurant. Saturday afternoon (and what ended up being the evening) was the big bridal event. Jace was able to spend some quality time with Grandpa and still make it to the shower for the show at the end (The show being Aunt Erin and Grandma).
Opening presents
Of course Jace made an appearance to get a cupcake
Group Shot
It all started with a watermelon.....
Trying to get in the car...
Almost.....
She's in folks!!
Sunday evening Jace got to go see Tay, Dud, and Chut, along with his other cousins at the fireworks. Homeade ice cream and cars from Fabulous Uncle Dud are always sure to please Jacer.
Watching for trains with Grandpa
Checking out the lizard named Pedro! Of course it was all Jace could do not to kiss him!
Helping Fabulous Aunt Tay make ice cream
Jace and Chuck...BFF's
Jace and Mommy made it home Monday afternoon and will turn around and do it all again Friday. It's Rodeo Time! Please cross your fingers that Jace's attitude toward his spanking new cowboy boots gets turned around by Saturday.

Peanut
Daddy, Mommy, and Jace went to Baby Peanut's 12-week appointment yesterday. All was well and he/she's heartrate was 163. Oddly enough, Jace's was 164 at 12-weeks. Does this mean Peanut is a Mr.?? Only time will tell!
Mommy is reluctantly sharing her 12-week belly shot. She tried telling the Dr. that there was at least 2 babies in there but the Dr. felt around and assured Mommy that she was measuring on track....maybe a little bloated. Mommy is certain it is the cheeseburgers. Sigh.

Nothing New
Not much is new in Jace's world. Aunt Erin and Kona came to visit this weekend which was a-ok with Jacer. One would never imagine how long Jace can throw balls and tupperware for Kona before either one wears out. Luckily for Mommy, who was a little under the weather (surprise, surprise), Aunt Erin agreed to watch Jace on Friday. They had a swell time and he is pumped to see her AGAIN next weekend. Ozzy...is tired. He is 5 and a puppy just wears an old man out.
Case in point....it may appear that Kona is tired too but do not be fooled. This pose only lasts 2.5 seconds in Kona's world.
Jace and Kona discussing how to avoid going to bed.
And a random shot of Jacer before school....just cause Mommy felt like it. And he is too suave not to be photographed at every opportunity....just ask him.
