The Countdown is On!

Summer is winding down and Jace and Mommy are getting ready for another year of work and daycare. Jace will go 3 days this coming week and then will be back to 4 days the next week. Jace is looking forward to seeing his friends again and Mommy is looking forward to no more driving 45 minutes to work!! We think it will be a great year!! We are currently in the process of purchasing an Iowa football jersey for Jace since the first game is less than 3 weeks away! Too bad Jace can't enjoy little smokies yet. He will be stylin' though! Jace still only has 2 teeth although with the sniffling going on you'd think he had a mouth full! We've decided his gums can keep those teeth--we don't want them! This leads us to our first pic:

Jace now has a mini big boy toothbrush to keep those pearly white stumps sparkling

Jace also has a great big rocking fish. He has recently discovered bouncing and would rather it do that than rock. It was a little scary getting far enough away to capture the fish and Jace in the pic because he gets a little wild jumping up and down. Luckily there was no spillage (of Jace).

Jace got a new push toy the other day. For now we are working on standing behind it--and again holding on instead of bouncing up and down and cracking our stumps on the handle. He likes to sit and play with it on the floor and is pretty amazed at all it can do (as you can see in his face). Ozzy had the same expression when he first saw it but the camera was too far away!

2 peas in a pod!!! We are considering letting them switch chew items on and off. A little time with Ozzy's bone would hopefully sand those sharp little baby teeth down a bit!

And in crawling news: Not yet. Jace wants to so bad. We aren't sure what the hold up is. He is defintely strong enough now. He moves backwards like a champ and can spin in circles like a tilt a whirl. He is even starting to pull himself up on things which leads us to wonder...... will he skip crawling and go right to walking?? It's anybody's guess. Stay tuned!!
