Motor Mouth Matern

From stories told to Mommy, Jace's Aunt Alisa was called Motor Mouth Matern as a child. It apears that her nephew will be next in line for the title. He has now discovered how to scream. It isn't a mad scream but is a scream nevertheless. And it is CONSTANT. Jace is even able to go to octaves only Ozzy can hear! Although Ozzy may not find this new found talent the most desirable, Jace is extremly proud of himself! He seems to have found the most wonderful sound in the world..............his own voice. All Mommy and Daddy have to say is--help us when he starts talking!! Since Jace's newest talent is not visually available, (although those seeing us in the near future will surely HEAR it) Mommy just decided to post some random Jace moments from the last few days.

Busy Boy

Jace is such a busy boy. He spent Friday afternoon with Daddy washing his car. When Mommy got home, Jace decided he needed a break and basked in the sun (under a tree of course) while Daddy washed Mommy's car. This was a double whammy for Mommy--she got her car washed and she discovered Jace enjoys another one of her favorite hobbies--laying in the sun doing nothing!


Jace has two new hobbies keeping him very busy as well.
Sucking his thumb.......yes he finally figured out how to get JUST the thumb!


And grabbing Mommy's lips and pulling as hard as he can!

I don't have any teeth.........Mommy, give me yours!!!!


Saturday, Jace was invited to a birthday party for his friend Davon. He had a great time and even received his own gift from Davon's Nana!

Sunday started out earlier than Mommy would have liked but what can she say??? Jace knows his schedule! Since it wasn't too warm yet, Mommy, Jace, and Ozzy decided to go for a power walk before breakfast.

After his walk Jace had a little time to sit in his pod (he's doing so well!!) and hang with Ozzy. Actually Jace was playing on his blanket first and Ozzy went over and pushed his way on--so of course Mommy had to pose them!


This is what you call brotherly love!!!!!


Jace must have been getting tired by the end of the day because, as you can see, he is a smidge confused! Apparently he forgot that this was Daddy and he was about a foot too high to get anything to eat out of there!!

Boys Will Be Boys

Daddy and Jace have had an excellent week! Their best to date actually!! They spent the afternoons bonding and hanging out with the other man of the house--Ozzy. They even went to the pet store one day--Daddy tackled taking Jace AND Ozzy in the store which is quite an accomplishment! Ozzy then wanted to show off his little brother to his buddies and teachers at the vet. Jace, of course enjoys the attention, so why stop there? He went to Daddy's work and it was reported to Mommy that he was flirting with all the girls! What can she say??? Boys will be boys!!

Like Father, Like Son................

Yes that is a boxing glove around his neck.........he is now officially a Boxer! And yes, we realize we don't get out enough!

Happy Birthday Grandma and Aunt Erin!!

Jace would not stop hounding Mommy to post so he could wish his Grandma Fraune and Aunt Erin a Happy Birthday! Aunt Erin will be 23 on April 19th and Grandma will be.........well, older than Erin, on April 21st. He hopes they both have a wonderful day--although each will celebrate quite differently we're sure!

Girl's Weekend!

Jace experienced his first girl's weeknd the past few days. He had Grandma Fraune, his two great aunts Kay and Debbie (who are both fabulous!), and Mommy's cousins Chrissy, Angie, and Tracy here to participate in a 'weekend away'. Of course Aunt Erin was also very much a part of the festivities. The weekend began on Saturday with Jace visiting the restaurant Tokyo for the first time. He enjoyed watching everyone's food made right in front of them. Of course Jace would have liked to have participated in the eating as well, but that will be for the next girl's weekend. Next, Jace was able to spend a little time outside in his stroller walking around downtown and shopping of course (he still enjoys it!!). Jace enjoyed the eating and shopping so much that he just decided to plain old skip his nap for the day. While he still behaved himself rather well, it made for a very tired boy Saturday night. Jace slept most of the time the girls ate at the Beefstro. Jace was probably the luckiest of all, because as any of them will tell you--the Beefstro wasn't the greatest. Aunt Erin did win this battle.


After the wonderful dining experience--which was in a hotel--Aunt Erin and Aunt Kay decided that it would be exciting to turn Jace into a Wedding Crasher!! Mommy wasn't too sure why they would sign the guestbook if they were trying to crash the wedding, however then she remembered this was after several downed beverages at the restaurant.

After crashing the wedding Jace and Mommy went home to bed while the rest of the crew hit the town 'Erin Style'!
Sunday, Jace woke up and went with the girls to again do what they do best--Eat!
He was such a handsome little man and even budgeted time in for some play with Erin and Tracy.



Of course Jace can't go anywhere with Mommy without her buying a silly hat and making him wear it! She knows he loves it though!!

Makin' Mommy Proud

Mommy decided she would get Jace started on his baby signs (it's never to early for a Speech Pathologist's kid)! She's been doing them for a while now but thought Jace might enjoy a DVD instead of just watching Mommy do all those silly things. He LOVED it! He sat and intently watched for a good 10 minutes. He smiled and laughed at the babies and even started doing his coo routine (which now includes a strange roll of the tongue). Mommy was so proud of her little talker she could barely contain herself!!
