The post entitled...Stalling.

So, Mommy is having some trouble getting pictures from her phone to the blog. And by trouble she means, about to pull her hair out, sitting on the floor, rocking back and forth. In the fetal position. Ok, so maybe it isn't quite that extreme. But the 15 spring break pictures just don't want to go easily. So, Mommy is stalling by posting just one. It is a good one though.

Jace noticed that Grandpa had an Iowa State sweatshirt. He was appalled. So he put it on and had Mommy take this picture for Grandpa. Funny.
And that totally made up for not seeing the other 14 pictures right? Good.

Can Mommy get a....FINALLY!!!

For Heaven's Sake!

It was spring break last week and Mommy couldn't even muster the energy to put up a blog! She should be ashamed of herself. And she is! Coming soon to a computer near you....spring break pictures (now before you get too excited, there is nothing remotely close to sun, palm trees, or water in these pictures....more like snow, winter coats, and blech). For now, please accept her apology and enjoy this picture of Jace Karate Rock Star.

Oh yeeeeaah! His instructor moved him from a white belt to a white belt WITH A STRIPE. Can the boy get a whoop whoop! Up next....yellow belt!

Imminent

A hole in his mouth is imminent. It will most likely happen sooner rather than later. He has twisted, pulled, pushed more on that tooth in the last 12 hours than Mommy ever hopes to witness again. And the chatter. It has been about nothing but this tooth. Please tooth. Come out soon.

Stay tuned......

Birthday Bonanza!

You are probably aware that Lexa Bean turned 3 this week. She opened presents and ate at Pizza Ranch per her request (Mommy did not argue). THEN she had a party for friends and family today. The pictures speak for themselves!

Brand spankin' new camping chair. You know. For when she goes camping.

All the presents. Isn't that the most beautiful princess bike you've ever seen?

Digging in. With her brother closely inspecting the loot. He was not impressed with the Hello Kitty pjs.

Barbie!

This is random but it had to be documented. Ozzy has never in his life got on this chair. But the couch was full and he had no choice. It took him about 5 minutes to figure out how to spin his big ol' body to fit. But he did it!

Opening her scooter from Grandma and Grandpa. Or a skateboard with a handle. She wanted a skateboard in the worst way but Mommy nixed that idea early on. So a compromise....a skateboard with a handle.

Yeah. Little girl pushing a big boy on a pink bike. Typical.

Lexa and her friends at her party today. Jace (the one with the goofy mask on...which Mommy didn't notice until after taking the picture), Lilly, Lexa, Gaige, Amiya, and Carlie.

She didn't get the skateboard but she did get the drums. This is one of those presents Mommy re-thought after about 2 minutes of her opening it. Kind of like 100 piece 2-sided puzzles.

Posing with her cake. Yo Gabba Gabba of course.

CAKE!

Blowing out all 3 of her candles! More like spitting on the cake but close enough.

Bean and Amiya in their matching shirts. When Amiya walked in the first thing Mommy noticed was her snazzy shirt. Then Amiya says, 'oh Lexa has one too'. And she did! In her present!
Thus ends Lexa's birthday fun for another year. Thanks for stopping by!

Lexa is 3!

And more excited than Mommy has ever seen her. Last night she kept saying, 'I can't wait for my birthday! This is so exciting!'. Then she said (in a motherly tone) 'Jaaaace, say happy birthday to the happy birthday girl'. Oh that girl.....

Lexa, at 3 years old you:

*are one of a kind. You are sweet, funny, ornery, and too smart for your own good sometimes.

*are 27 lbs and 37 inches tall (these are estimates as your checkup isn't until April).

*wear a combo 2T/3T clothes and a size 7 shoe.

*have been completely diaper free during day for over 6 months and at night for a month or two!

*are not a chocolate lover. Where did you come from? You prefer 'white'. You are acquiring more of a sweet tooth but still love fruit (especially apples, strawberries, oranges, and grapefruit), meat, juice, and breakfast at Gravy's.

*can identify almost all upper case letters, many lower case, and are working on learning their sounds. You can count to 15 consistently and occasionally go to 20 or higher missing a few in between.

*LOVE Yo Gabba Gabba (especially Foofah). You also like Peppa Pig, Super Why, Curious George, and Barney.

*enjoy coloring, drawing, and reading books. You are a girl's girl who loves to have her nails painted, wear sparkles, and anything pink or purple...although you still claim your favorite color is blue. You also like being outside getting dirty and have declared that you want a skateboard for your birthday. SPOILER ALERT: You are NOT getting a skateboard.

*love your brother (which you should because he is awesome) but also love to get under his skin (which you are becoming increasingly good at...almost daily).

*go to Tricia's during the day. You love it there and get to see your BFF Lily every day!

*are a handful! You are not afraid to make your feelings known. You have opinions (lots of opinions) and can argue and talk your way around almost anything....this is very trying in a toddler but will serve you well in the future.

*still haven't had a haircut. Not even a trim. And don't think it's coming any time soon. That beautiful hair may drive you nuts and hang in your eyes but it hasn't reached your bum yet!

Love you Lexa Bean!

Few Words.

Mommy is low on words today. So just see some fun pictures.

Jace's karate instructor told him he has natural talent. And he brought this uniform....suit? Mommy doesn't know the appropriate lingo. But the thing was cute (albeit very big) so Jace will be purchasing and sporting it at his weekly karate class.

Lexa bought a Nana shirt. Her eyes actually do open in case you had forgotten.

It's a good thing Mommy said this post would be short on words. Because there really are none for this.....

And a moment of peace. Ahhhh.
