Mommy's lil' sidekick.....

Jace was with Daddy watching NASCAR today so Lexa and Mommy had a girl's day. 

Mommy was cleaning the carpets so Ozzy snuggled up with Bean on the couch to watch a little Yo Gabba Gabba.

Mommy has said it before and she will say it again....the girl LOVES to shop. She talked Mommy into hitting Target and immediately wanted the shoe department. Well, after she picked out the nifty purple hat she is sporting. 

And a girl even more after Mommy's heart.....she wanted to go to Village Inn after shopping. For pancakes and pie.  The apple does not fall far people.

The Real Post About the Weekend.

You got a preview and now you get the real deal. The real information about the weekend. First, it was spent in Omaha. It was tons of fun and Lexa and Jace greatly enjoyed spending time with Keegan. AND, Lexa got her ears pierced. But you probably already got that from the previous post. Check out what else happened.....

Erin did this ear wax removal thing on Grandma and Mommy. It involved lighting a candle and letting it burn in the ear. Strange. Even stranger was the smoke that came out of Mommy's ear. And the burnt marshmallow smell that came next.

There was shopping! If you didn't already know, Lexa is a master shopper. She LOVES it. Mommy literally had to drag her out of the shoe department after about a half hour...she would have stayed there all day and tried on all the lovely shoes...lovely is Lexa's word, not Mommy's.
But back to the picture. Keegan and Lexa fell asleep. You could probably already tell that though.

Friday, on the way to Omaha Jace and Lexa were able to stop in Des Moines for story hour with Clifford the Big Red Dog. They loved it and gave him an excessive amount of hugs.

Lexa and Mommy somewhere. Mommy can't remember where but she loves Lexa's smile.

And finally....the earrings! Mommy took this picture about 10 times and Lexa kept her eyes open in none of them. Apparently the phone flash is a bit too much for the princess queen (if you are curious, Lexa told her Daddy that he could just call her 'princess queen'...unfortunately she was very serious).

Sneak Peek.....

Blech.

Jace has been sick. Since last Sunday. Blech. He missed the entire week of school and is getting as stir crazy as you can get. Other than a high fever (104.8 at one point) he is fine. Once the fever kicks in he feels like poo. Dispense Tylenol and he recovers. And repeat. For 7 days. If you can't tell, Mommy is a little stir crazy herself. So far no fever today so cross your fingers he is on the mend! 

This....this is entirely NOT what you are supposed to be found doing at 9 pm in your room.....

Nate's girlfriend Amy got a bird. His name is Tico and Jace and Lexa adore him.

See. It's all fun and games until somebody's finger (or ear) gets pecked.
That didn't happen. It just sounded good.

This little girl is ready to go to school. Her book bag will probably be as big as her in the fall....

Grandma and Grandpa sent some balloons to cheer Jacer up. 

Out of the bath for less than 2 minutes and she is already pointing her finger and bossing Mommy around.

Ozzy reaped the benefits of Jace's sick week. And he didn't complain once!

That's all. Not a lot of fun this week being stuck at home. Hopefully next week brings health and fun!

Drumroll please..........

Loose Tooth in the Houuuuuse!!!

First loose tooth! You would think he won a trip to Disney World with the excitement in the air and NON-STOP chatter about it. All Mommy has to say is that sucker better fall out within the week. None of this month-long barely hanging on nonsense. 

Lexa and Mommy got manicures yesterday. Lexa was in heaven. Like she didn't stop chattering the entire time. Her favorite part was the warm neck thingy she wore around her neck. She just kept saying, 'oooh I love it'. And 'oh it smells so good'. The nail lady definitely got a kick out of her. She even buttoned Lexa's pants when literally 2 minutes after Mommy's nails were done she had to go potty (Lexa, not the nail lady. She may have had to go but she wasn't sharing quite like Lexa). 

Jace's Catholic School's Week Family Dance. To say they 'cut a rug' would be an understatement. Jace's school is K-8 so there were some big kids out there....like bigger than Mommy if you can believe that. Anyway, Lexa was right in the middle...all 26 lbs of her. It was quite amusing.

An obviously misplaced picture but yes....another shot of manicures. Notice the warm neck thingy (sorry Mommy keeps referring to it as a 'thingy' but that's all she's got right now. It most likely has a more spa-like name).

And to leave you....a picture of Lexa after she dressed herself today. Yep, this is how she went to Walmart. Blue shirt, green pants, one brown boot, and one pink boot. And not to worry...she did not leave the whiney look at  home. She wore that to Walmart too. It was lovely.
