Oh Randomness!

This post is pure randomness from the last week. So go ahead and delve right in!

Jace comes home with his shirt like this. Mommy says, 'oh wow, what did you have for lunch?'  Jace replies....'oh that's just boogers'. Ewwwww!!

This week is Catholic Schools Week and Mommy is co-chair at Jace's school (co-chair should be used loosely as Mommy is learning a LOT and has done less than 50% of the work). All the weekend masses were filled with students doing the different jobs. Mommy was the go-to person at 5:00 pm and Jace was a greeter. Afterwards they celebrated at Applebees with soup and brownies...Jace's choice. He played a little imaginary guitar when he finished his brownie because it was SO GOOD!

And in Lexa news....she has been in big girl undies for about 6 months but still wearing diapers at night. UNTIL this week! She is now dry in the morning!! No more diapers for this house! So she celebrated at McDonalds Playland...and was joined by Amiya.

Then Bean got a cold. And it was a doozy. She was begging for medicine and applesauce. It appears she has recovered however and is back to her normal feisty self.

Ozzy. Such a cute little guy...

And to end....a little music video starring Jace and Lexa. There really aren't any words to describe their dancing..particularly Lexa's.

Livin' in the tropics.

Yep, it was like livin' in the tropics for a couple of days in these parts (that would be a balmy 50 degrees). Jace, Lexa, and Ozzy took advantage of the nice weather and ventured outside.

Ozzy got really in to kicking the soccer ball around. Or not. But he did allow one picture with the soccer ball in the same vicinity.

Yes, it was Jace who enjoyed kicking the ball around. He has acquired a new word from school.....ain't.  It is like fingernails on a chalkboard to Mommy. That really has nothing to do with this picture but it came to mind because he KEPT saying it as he and Mommy kicked the ball back and forth. Or a better description might be...as Mommy chased the ball down the road 95 times.

Little Miss letting her tomboy side shine and playing in the dirt.

Jacer walking Ozzy. Ozzy used to require a harness and a 200 lb person to keep him in check while walking. Now he walks with just a leash and a super skinny kid holding him.

This picture is randomly out of order but lets go with it.  Jace volunteered to be in a mock classroom at Discover St. Pats night last week. It was a way to promote the school and let people walk through and see the school in action. He looked so cute. After he got done posing.

2 naked barbies enjoying the tropics.

No more tomboy. All diva. She found a brush (a carwashing brush) to fix her barbie's hair. She is adaptive.

And finally, a video of Jace performing some new moves from karate. And counting in some language. Mommy has no clue if it's true or not or if it's actually a language but it sounds cute.

It's been a week!

Mommy just realized it has been a whole week you have gone sans new blog! Her apologies. And she must admit, this one isn't gonna do much to make up for the lost time. Her camera readiness has been lacking lately. But, here are a couple recent pictures.

Lexa and Mommy were killing time last night and stopped in at Coldstone for ice cream.

Mommy just wanted a picture. Just one. That's all.

These are what she got. Model in the making...perhaps.

After Lexa completely licked her bowl of blue cotton candy ice cream she got back in the car and said, 'OH MOMMY, I actually wanted GREEN ice cream not BLUE'. Nice.

And just so you know, as sure as Mommy is that Lexa will end up a lawyer (with her arguing, debating, and justifying skills), Lexa did not in fact get another bowl of ice cream. Of any color.

Jace and Lexa played a little indoor ball the other night after the furniture was moved and the carpets were cleaned. It was all fun and games until Jace stole the ball.....

And finally.....Jace has started taking karate. This is one of his poses. Or moves? Mommy isn't sure the correct lingo. But it is SERIOUS business. But you can probably tell that from the spaghetti all over his mouth....

Jace's birth multi-day celebration!

First, Mommy is going to point out that these pictures came from a variety of sources. Her phone, her camera, other peoples texts, etc. So, uploading was a challenge. Even more of a challenge was trying to get them in chronological order. But before Mommy made a hot mess out of herself trying to move, rearrange, and organize pictures, she took a breath and said.....AHHHHHH. So, here are the pictures. In no particular order. AHHHHHH.

Jace's b-day hat from school. Mommy went and ate lunch with him on Friday. Wow. That was an experience. But very fun. And one he may not allow in years to come.

Opening presents after school. Check out the M&M candy dispenser. So handy!

Jace's b-day donut. Because you probably should start your day with a donut, followed by a cookie at lunch, a cupcake for snack, and cupcakes at Chuck E. Cheese that night.

Jace invited a few friends to party at Chuck E Cheese Friday night. Another wow. Another experience. But fun. Check out Lexa and Chuck E.

Hunter, Jack, Jace, and Julian. Mommy felt slightly bad not inviting more of Jace's classmates....let's just say she forgave herself about 5 minutes in to a party with 4 kindergarten boys.

And then you add this one in. She is equal to about 4 more kindergarten boys.

Jace had Grandma, Grandpa, Nana, and Papa over for a mini celebration on Sunday. Lexa made sure Baby Allison was ready in her best Christmas pajamas....and matching hairbow.

Opening more presents. And Lexa even got in on the fun.

The cake. You have no idea how eclectic his b-day ended up. Spiderman balloons and plates. But then Lexa saw Spongebob so a few of those were thrown in. Then the Avengers cups were like half price of Spiderman so Mommy opted for those. THEN Jace wanted a Curious George Cake. Nothing like spreading the love and incorporating every interest into your special day(s).

Lexa acquired an interest for earmuffs when she saw Grandpa's over Christmas. She had tons of questions, such as, "well do your ears get cold?" etc. They were almost discussed as many times as Grandma's story about the time she found Reggie.

The present of the year was the marshmallow cross bow. Mommy will be finding marshmallows for years to come in crevices throughout the house.

Blowing out SIX candles! On Friday Jace was arguing with Lexa about something and he finally just said, "Lexa, listen to me, I'm almost 7". Um, ok.

Jace was able to go ice fishing with Daddy for the first time on Saturday....these are the 5 fish he caught. If you want to see the video of him cleaning them ask elsewhere. 5 seconds of that viewing pleasure was plenty for Mommy.

The birthday boy the morning of his b-day....opening Lexa's gift. Which he claims is the best b-day gift she has ever given him.....a spiderman lizard.

And finally....Jace received a special gift from Nate. Check it out! What a lucky Jacer!

And that's all of Jace's b-day fun. Actually there are more pictures so Mommy should rephrase....and that's all of the b-day fun Mommy has the patience to upload. Until next time.....

Happy Birthday Jace!

Jace is 6 years old today! Mommy has never seen a kid more excited for his birthday. He has been counting down for about 3 weeks and a common phrase heard has been, " I just can't believe this, I've never been 6 before"!

Jace, at 6 years old you:

*wear a size 5 or 6 clothes and size 13 shoe.

*are around 40 lbs and 45 inches tall.

*still love Spiderman. You have just started playing on the computer and love the Leappad that you got for Christmas. You also enjoy reading, drawing/coloring, playing outside, sports, fishing, and are looking forward to starting karate.

*LOVE school. Kindergarten is the most fun you have ever had and you look forward to going every day. You have learned to read, tie your shoes, do tons of fun math things, and have made many new friends. Your teacher is Mrs. Stone. Some of your other favorites at school are attending mass on Tuesdays, being the VIP, and playing at Circle of Care with your buddies.

*are one of the most amazing people Mommy has ever known. You seem wise well beyond 6 years. You are patient, kind, loving, and friendly. You are the best big brother and although you occasionally get frustrated with your sister, you are always there to help her, give her hugs, and tell her you love her. You are always nice to others and look out for those you care about.

*have completely come out of your shell in the last 6 months. You will talk to anybody and are not afraid to get up in front of people and perform and/or show off! You have an easy going way about you and don't get rattled or worry about too much.

*have a sweet tooth (Mommy has no idea where that comes from....). You also love chicken nuggets, pizza, apples, anything with ranch, and jelly sandwiches.

Happy Birthday Jacer! Mommy says almost daily that she has no idea where you came from and she doesn't know why she is the lucky one that gets to be your Mommy.
